I am assuming that you have ruled out the critical reflection approach, using a reflective cycle such as Gibb's or Kolb's.

You could try looking at discursive and narrative assessment.

Hope it's useful! I really liked using Bamberg & Georgakopoulou's framework--it's accessible and very operationalizable. Analyzing small stories is also a great way of tracing interdiscursive links, a strength that I think might really complement CDA. Good luck on your project!
