Can anyone advise me a good paper about the growth rate of fairy rings?

I am going to examine the growth rate of fairy rings formed by some species, wich live on meadows, for example Agaricus urinascens, Leucopaxillus lepistoides, Lepista personata, L. panaeolus, Marasmius oreades, Amanita vittadinii. I am not sure about, what kind of symbiosis presented by this fungus (maybe any kind of endomycorrhizas). The main reason of my planned examination is the estimation of the age (continuity) of this meadows.

As far as I know, the sporocarps (or fruiting bodies) are the sexual reproductive structures of Basidio or Ascomycetes, and endomycorrhiza (arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi) belong to the Glomeromycota Division, lacking the production of sporocarps.

Indeed, Basidiomycetes mainly form ECTOmycorrhiza as well as ascomycetes often grow in symbiosiswith grasslands as ENDOPHYTES, cononising more than just roots of grasses and their hyphae may penetrate within plant cells. Glomeromycota also follow this trend. Most of the species you listed are ectomycorrhizal but I wonder if you mention Agaricus urinascens... This species is saprotrophic. ..at least they concluded so about 5-10 years ago...

fair-ring fungi on meadows (contrary to many wood inhabitants) considered to be saprobic, along with the most of meadow fungi. There are some controversial data on mycorrhiza in Agaricus but authors did not provide any experimental data or links to such research. For fairy-ring information you can use
