I am working on a planning development project that seeks to develop an integrated green infrastructure neighborhood in a rapid urban densification area.
Here is a document from the US EPA with guidance on developing green infrastructure plans in communities. Hopefully it might have some useful planning information
See my conceptual BIMBY framework on the role of domestic gardens for a sustainable green infrastructure. The framework proposes a participatory way of increasing the benefits domestic gardens can deliver to biodiversity and sustainability. One of the main potentials is increasing structural and functional connectivity. The case studies are about to be published in Urban Ecosystems. Working on the revision of the manuscript.
We have elaborated on a green infrastructure concept for a small rural town surrounded by rural agricultural landscapes. I think, it might be an interesting reference for you.
Best regards from Vienna,
Attila
