I am planning to model inelastic damage under repeated loading using abaqus. I know little bit about abaqus and damage separately. But I don't know how to combine them. A simple example will be helpful for me.

Abaqus not model fatigue damage. You can use some abaqus rutines for this like UMAT

fe-safe is the fatigue analysis software for Finite Element models and is capable with many applications. That is included in Abaqus 6.14-3, I think that's the latest version.
