Is this a Tephritidae species? Lot of specimens emerged from
inflorescence of Scorzonera sp. collected in Serbia.
Yes, I suspect it is a tephritid.
I agree, also in my opinion it is a tephritid (maybe of the genus Tephritis). Regards,
Rinaldo Nicoli
Thank you guys. I will now try to find a specialist in Tephritis! I found the work form 2002 of AMNON FREIDBERG and MURAT KÜTÜKand I'm going to contact them.
Try maybe also with Diptera.info web site.
Valery Korneyev from Kyiv is an excellent specialist in Tephritidae
Tephritidae, Tephritis (several species has this patch on wings, e.g. T. conura) (see diptera.info - Diptera Gallery)
Try to contact some specialists (e.g. Petr Heřman)
Maybe these books come in handy.
Regards
and this one
Yes, it is a tephritidae
I think I found it. it is Tephritis carmen.
A pdf with a key for Tephritis species (for Turkey, including T. carmen) with wing pattern pictures can be found on this link
