Dear sir, i carried out a research and i doubt if the result is correct or may be my perception is wrong. here are my coments: By comparing the result of the land use /land cover classification looking at the extent of forest cover (deep green colour) extent from 1984 to 2018, it was observed that the forest cover a large portion of the study area in the period 1984 compare to the period of 2018. However, in the year 2018, the NDVI values ranges from 0.53 to 0.21 which is greater than the one obtained in the period 1984 which ranges from 0.25 to 0.06.

During ground thruthing, it was obvioused that changes had been observed in the study area as per forest cover extent which evidence from the classification result, the changes is as a result of different land use and land cover observed in the study area resulting from human activities over 32 years. The challenges at hand is that, I thought simply because there was decreased in forest cover over the period 2018, as observed in the classification and as well verified on the ground, during the period of study (1984to 2018), the NDVI values for the image of 1984 should have the highest values while the one in 2018 should be the lowest so as to butress the changes observed during ground thruthing as NDVI values is a reflection of the vegetation enxtent or dynamcs as changes reflect persistent of human activities during the period of study.

Question: Can anybody advise on what happen to the result?

I performed the necessary image pre-processing including, Geometric correction and Radiometric correction and I converted all the DN values of the band bands used to Reflectance values using appropriate bands for both Red and NIR infrared and formular as research by scientist and scholars. Using ArcGIS/Arc Map 10.4.1. This has been my challenges over the years and any solution to my observation will go along way to assist and increase my knowledge. Thanks and Godbless. Kindly find the attached document of the result of the study.
