Can any one suggests me zinc and copper acetates in non-aqueous solvents and reducing agents for preparing the nanoparticles without any oxides under inert atmosphere.I need non-aqueous solvents and reducing agents names for both zinc and copper acetates.
Try this in methanol and NaBH4. Use Nitrogen as purging gas.
ETHYLENE GLYCOL can serve as both a non aqueous solvent as well as a reducing agent for nanoparticle synthesis at temperatures above 150 degree celcius.
Thanks Muhammad Abbas sir but I don't know exactyly how much solution of methanol and how much amount of reducing agent of NaBH4 I need to take for 1gram of zinc acetate and 1gram of copper acetate.I want to dissolve this 2 precursors(zinc&copper acetates) in a solution of methanol and using reducing agent of NaBH4.I want to know solution(methanol) amount in mL and reducing agent(NaBH4) amount in mg.
Sorry I didn't get notification about your reply, It depends on molarity of you Zn solution, Normaly 1mM solution of NaBH4(I'm talking about overall molarity, when added to 1mM Zn solution) is good enough for 1mM metal solution, but you will need to optimize the condition, so try different concentrations, e.g. 1mM, 5mM, 40mM etc.
