Hi All! Can any one please suggest a single unit device for realtime and simultaneous measurement of Kinematics, Kinetic and EMG (if possible metabolic parameters too) while the subject carries out his work (e.g. operating aircraft or tank) in military operational situation? I have worked with lab based interfaced system of Raptor-H Camera system (MAC, USA) for kinematics, Kiestler Forceplates for Kinetics and Motion Labs EMG System. But such system cannot be carried out in field for ergonomic evaluation of military ergonomics.
I would try and connect to someone at DARPA - I believe there would be research there which may help you find a source.

You may take paint-ball battles into consideration (after you found the searched device) that it can simulate real time battle circumstances and you can much easily measure the mentioned parameters. You also can build one using Team Polar, with some GPS application. A simple cell phone also can provide you many useful data gaining possibilities (gyroscope, acceleration and deceleration data, step count etc.) Interesting theme!

take a look at the CAPTIV motion sensors. We've just recently got these at our institute and they are compatible with several other systems including EMG and other physiological measurement tools.
