For your research work, you can make a prototype of Z source inverter in Lab. I think there is not any manufacturer who makes Z source inverters because it has limited application and some practical limitations too. The existing sine wave MPPT inverters are working fine for solar PV applications. But if you consider the problems associated with the sine wave inverters, you may design a new design or some control strategy for the Z source inverters.
As I believe, there is no Z source inverter prototype manufectered in industry, Although several Z source inverters are proposed in literature as indicated in the following paper:
https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7436861/
but you should make your own protype in your Lab because there are many experiments have been succusfully done on ZSI in recent studies.
To begin with, you may weigh the advantages of ZSI especially in terms of the range of voltage gain that is possible in one hand and the practical difficulties involved in extracting/realizing those benefits on the other hand.
Combination of DC-DC and DC-AC converter stages which are capable of yielding the same or even higher range of voltage gain with well known and simpler gating patterns are also available in literature.
Therefore, weigh the numerous options (ZSI, DC-DC + DC-AC, etc.) before you start fabricating the converter.
I, think its not possible in practically in solar pv system with ZSI inverter, because design of ZSI L and C values have to derive mathematically, ZSI Inverter has many advantages compare to VSI and CSI ,, but u can design in MATLAB simulation . i think hope u search properly in IEEE, science direct,.. etc. Many papers are there regrading to ur topic
