Please suggest a good area with practical problems that can be researched and useful to the industry.
The issue is that I have just started MSc Business Project Management and have no deep idea about the actual practical problems.
So, I am looking for a right direction in research.
The question may be what is your undergraduate degree in and what work experience have you had? There is so much out there in the PM world that you could look into...

A really big problem in PM is the communication. Most of my projects in the steel construction industry were not successful because important information were not given to the right stakeholder. Another problem are misconceptions caused by lack of knowledge.
Maybe you try to look at bad projects and figure out what causes the problems

Hi, I have several years of experience as a project manager in the automotive industry and I think that an interesting subject would be to work on the interpersonal relations of the project team, and the comparison of the different models of team organization (hierarchical level of team members, etc.), and the potential impact on the project output data.
Depending on your background which can support and shape your dissertation topic and taking into account the limited duration of the MSc program, I suggest to investigate the field of risk management . For example, investigating the current practices of risk management in complex engineering projects (for engineering) and the role of financial risk management in commercial banks ( for accounting and finance) and so on.
