ResearchGate has never revealed much about how it calculates our scores, but they say that it is based on interactions, such as following articles, recommending questions, andswering questions, following profiles, etc. And it is also relative to other people, so if other people achieve advances in their scores, it may affect how much your score changes. Beyond that, there is little information about what causes the RG score to change.
I am also not sure but I think tbat your score will increase once people start reading and reccomending and citing your published article, plus your other activities mentioned above by Marek.
I think this is frustrating and not motivating to users. I am encountering the same problem with a full paper added to my profile but my score has not been updated for more than two weeks. Who to contact to solve the problem?
