Can any body suggest me how to measure phenoloxidase and peroxidase in alkaline soil (pH 7.5 to 8.5)?

I am using DOPA method to estimate phenol oxidase and peroxidase estimation in acidic soil, but I am not getting the results for alkaline soils.
