i have lots of question regarding the working ability of rabies vaccine as it is highly neurotrophic but how it produce the immune effect through out the body?
Vaccines have several modes of actions. Depending on the protein target, they can help disable the function of that protein (i.e if it's a cytotoxic protein it will bind to it to disable it, or deny entry into host cell cell) or help "opsonize" or coat bacterial proteins to allow neutrophils and other WBCs to target it for phagocytosis or membrane-attack-complex (MAC). In the body, depending on the vaccine type given, we can be given "attenuated" forms of the bacteria/virus which are less virulent counterparts which stimulate the body to find an antigen to target without making you feel sick.
