Recently one of my article got accepted with minor revisions from AME journal of Sage publisher. As this journal being a golden open access, very high APC is charged. I have no funding and this APC is impossible for me to pay. What should I do?
Typically reduced charged may be applied for developing countries. However, if you don't see anything like that in the journal website, you can always ask the journal editor. Thanks.
You probably chose by mistake the open access option. In the non-open access there is no charge. You could contact the journal and ask them to change the publication option of your paper in the following link:
http://journals.sagepub.com/home/ade
and scroll down, the "contact us" is on the left side.
Avishag Gordon has rightly pointed out about the open access and it's charging. You must have chosen open access for your manuscript, thereby they are asking you for the payments. However, you should put a request before chief editor and convey about your problem. I hope it will be sorted out.
A crazy proposal. Send your student card and a request to the publisher of this journal. If he accepts then it is good if not you are in the same position.
Another time, you must choose a journal according to your capacity.
For a small work you are welcome in our journal (it's free) https://www.ijeca.info/index.php/IJECA/index
