In a company invention, the applicant is the owner of the patent and inventors have the right for an adequate reward by the law, wherein on the other hand, in many other cases the inventor is also the applicant. I would like to know your point of view about the probability in which case it is more probable that the inventor could earn nice packet of money.

Yes and no. It's about luck in both cases, but there is a "small" distinction.
You just go and buy a ticket with your lucky hand (or lucky dollar), but for the successful patent you need both luck and a lot of perseverance to make a patent from your clever (and lucky) idea.
As Thomas Alva Edison mentioned, Innovation is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. And he should know, as he tested some 2000 different filament materials for his light bulb before striking on the right one.

no, buying a ticket is not enough. see the book about Gould and the invention of the laser 'laser' by Nick Taylor. however blasé I seem I do believe that some people do make inventions.
I agree with all of you. There is a difference to buy a lottery ticket and file a patent application. However, when we look at it purely from the point of view of statistics. How many patents have been able to create the millionaire from the inventor and conversely how many winning tickets has brought millions to its owner.
Do you know a living inventor who has been able to get a living rent from his inventions? And if so, have played just patents a key role in his success? And finally, what do you think is more, lottery winners or millionaire inventors? :)

I feel patents for individual investors have less chances of going millions or billions because of the continuous processes involved. Patent is an effective instrument only for corporations.

thanks for your remark, yes, patents can be effectively commercialized and defended only by sufficiently large companies, simply because of the financial strength needed. Not necessarily corporations, though.
On the other hand, many if not most technology or biotechnology start-ups are built around a proprietary IP, mostly in the form of patent (or at the time of founding the start-up a mere patent application). Indeed, one of the first questions you hear from angel or venture investors is: "Do you have a patent on it?".
And yes, sooner or later most of these start-ups either become large companies themselves or are bought by large companies.
