In my previous thread the detection of curl free magnetic vector potentials was discussed for detection in Josephson Junctions with references to patents and defense of patents in education of patent law.
One possibility is that the generator produced a stress energy that passed though an EM shield, maybe a gravity wave or some other stress energy free of EM components.
In other threads I explored the concept of kinetic energy in local stress energy fields, as developed in QFT and Lagrangian Densities in Klein Gordon equation. It raises the possibility that not all local stress energy is gravitational or EM. In Einstein's final writing the kinetic energy field component completed the expected unified field theory, but only if QFT can be reconciled with GR.
In the present question about Josephson Junctions the possibility of a reverse process is explored. It continues the study of field effects and how they interact together and with detectors.
Can a modulated gravity wave be induced by an array of Josephson Junctions?
Theophanes thanks for reply. I agree the field if any would be small. The generator in a referenced patent also produced a small field in an interference pattern. To get a large signal an effective mass like induction would probably be needed, which isn't likely with JJ. On the other hand the patents on methods of using JJ for receiving communications seem to be establishing a principle with proof that is not usually taught in a standard education, or found in the public view of Li or Podkletnov.
In many decades I noticed the best new researchers on leading edge technologies tend to vanish along with their most important work. Then years later a reference on the same topic leaks out from DARPA, NASA, or JPL. Example is cold fusion from JPL accident report in an obituary, after decades of silence or scorn.
I'm looking for the principle and how it's effect changes at high speed.
In principle almost everything which leads to a time dependent variation of energy of momentum or pressure or stress (time dependent energy-momentum tensor) should produce gravitational waves, according to the linearised Einstein equations. But in practice the effects are so incredible small that they will remain undetectable for a very long time. One problem is that almost anything one do to make a strong enough source for gravitational waves must simultaneously be a much-much stronger source of electromagnetic and/or acoustic waves.
With such small signals extracted from so much noise, the best chance with JJ might be to compare it to other types of detectors nearby that are not super conducting and are able to detect all of the extraneous events. Then an output signal of the difference between JJ and conventional detectors might detect a gravity wave.
Notice that JJ have detected the tiny modulated signals of stress energy produced artificially in laboratories allowing demodulation from the full spectrum of noise.
The only way to generate gravitational waves with "small" generators "must" take advantage of: high frequency, coherence_super-radiance, devising quantum systems that can be excited electromagnetically and de-excited gravitationally. We were not talking about Baker's patent.
We must focus on this subject. JJs are the key to inject spin-0 cooper pairs into a dominant spin-2 superconductor. Transitions will produce gravitational waves. More conditions are required to design and build a working generator. That is why it is very difficult, but not impossible.
By analogy, semiconductors were observed and sometimes used decades before their formal discovery according to a generally accepted physical approach.
We are in a similar situation, but this time the underlying phenomenology is more difficult to understand and the process will take longer.
The process is:
1) an anomaly is observed.
2) many theories are developed to explain the anomaly in a rational way.
3) one theory explains all the details of the anomaly.
4) one theory becomes generally accepted and used for developing technology.
We now are between 2 and 3, almost 3 ...
If General Relativity is good enough for these studies, we need very high frequency, we need coherence in a large quantum system, we need a very clever way to excite this quantum system using electromagnetism and de-excite it only by emission of gravitational waves. It looks almost impossible, but exceptions might exist.

In which electronic s/d transitions are suggested as sources of high frequency gravitational waves. We are not talking of a static gravitational field generated by stress-energy according to the direct application of Einstein equations.
s/d transitions of cooper pairs (not quasi-particles) have been (electrically) observed in HTSC. The main question is not the strength of the coupling (that only needs to be different from zero, and yes: electrons have mass) but the conversion efficiency. Conversion efficiency can be strongly increased by coherence, that is a natural property of cooper pairs in a superconductor (in lasers coherence is provided by a standing em wave in a resonator). Halpern and Laurent never though to achieve coherence by cooper pair condensation, but we know that this is possible. How to implement it for building a gravitational wave generator is more complex, see the link at the end of this message cap.3 and references.
If you ask ME if there is a link between JJ and gravitational waves I say YES, but it is not a trivial one. No experimental confirmation till today. Theoretically if we succeed in generating gravitational waves, more interesting phenomena may appear, that are predicted by hundreds of papers like this one:

The effect of Cooper pair condensation in two bosonic quantum states is equivalent to the fact that some relevant parameters, for instance phase, energy, radiation pattern are exactly the same for all the pairs. Therefore assuming Cooper pair density of N=10^20/cm^3, with 10 cm^3 of material, wave-function coherence amplify the probability of gravitational wave emission to the level of typical spontaneous photon emission in a single atom, see Eq. (1). Cooper-pair Bose condensate acts as a much heavier elementary pair, the gain being N^2.
To study gravitons experimentally, and develop quantum gravity we need a source of real gravitons, but we cannot theoretically prove and design an efficient quantum source of gravitons if we do not have quantum gravity. So we are stuck.
At the beginning our guidelines can be a combination of known theoretical results, often approximate, measured properties of materials and general properties of coherent systems developed for optics and extended to gravitational waves. The goal is to have a laboratory source of gravitational waves as soon as possible to start experimental research that will guide theoretical developments. This is the most difficult part.

You know, Podkletnov might have observed something really important many years ago in Finland. Considering that he never suceeded in reproducing his devices outside some secret labs, he probably never built them from the beginning. The original manufacturers of those discs could be unknown. I certainly do not know.
