Hey guys,

So I've always autoclaved my YNB and Biotin solutions to be consolidated into minimal media for growing yeasts in shake flasks. I recently came across a protocol that instructs to filter sterilize these solutions rather than autoclaving them. I have also come across autoclaving instructions to sterilize them. My cells grow fine in autoclaved media but I've never tried only filter sterilizing and growing my cells in that media. I'm confused and would like to know what's the right thing to do.
