as per my study and research Govt of Pakistan is very much interested to improve their crop size as the most cotton growing countries have improved by BT cotton, which counts as virus resistance cotton, for this they are working For the last 2 years and in b/w govt. of Pakistan is trying to sign a MoU with Monsanto but Monsanto charges them US$11/- per Acre, but the major problem is Mafia/strong Lobby/ Pesticides Companies & Institutions who major key players of this sector are not involve in this matter to resolve it ASAP. like wise if APTMA, MinTextile just started working on it, we are pretty sure that the illegal seeds to be stopped arriving in the market, and Market will grow in positive sense by certified seeds provided by Monsanto. my opinion is Govt and the textile institutions should take care of their cotton field then it will grow up, and the production will touch @ 15 to 16MT
