Pakistan's spot-rates were quoted between 8,000 and 9,000 rupees per 40 kg early on 16-6-11 as the new crop started trickling in.
There is news about early sowing crop [MY2011/12] arrival in ginneries and the Seedcotton prices start @ Rs. 3500/- Md. Following are the few details:
1- Three Ginning factories have started pressing in the following districts:
a. Sanghar
b. Bahawalnagar
c. Shahdadpur
2- Quantity is not much but in general 5 to 6 trucks of Phutti [Seedcotton] are loaded over there
3- Ginners are now demanding cotton prices to be @ PKR 8,500/- per maund
