I don't think so, broiler chickens are not healthy foods. It's true, excess eating always not good for health. We know, those are marginal peoples in our community, they fulfill their meat demand by this broiler chickens behind a cause is broiler chickens are economically cheap compare to other meat.
Please see the following link for the nutrient value of broiler-chicken-
Sir, for me, the broiler chicken is healthy as it self, however, the problems were on the management which pertains to the one who are managing the farm. Its according to their practice on how to raise it properly and healthy.
Not at all. They are healthy. Broilers are good and cheap source of animal proteins. They supply carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and micronutriens. Broilers are source of White meat, it is a source of omega 3. Broilers are source of meat at door steps.
I don't think so ,broiler meat is healthy to consume by human because it content protien , minirals ,vit.and carbohydrate but we can say quality of ratio feeding and type of management inside poultry house may affect on quality of broiler meat .
Diets of broiler chickens, usually comprising of corn feed and nutritional supplements often contain hormones, antibiotics, and trace amounts of pesticides, all of which can be a potential health hazard. Antibiotics used in commercially-raised chicken may be one of the factors that cause germ resistance in some people, and even small amounts of hormones can have a big effect, possibly increasing the risk of cancer and early onset of puberty.
Broiler age at slaughter is around six weeks, it means meat is very tender and easily digestible as it is only a meat form a chick of six weeks of age not form an adult bird. This is perhaps best meat among the meats for its nutritious values and easy digestibility.
Dear Tariq Mushtaq, thanks for the comment you made. I realize your point of view. Sorry to say, I failed to find out any response from the scientists in this field opposing the comments published in the newspaper.
It should has the specific reasons why it is dangerous?
if only based on the link posted:
1. Cancer - all meats have potentially carcinogenic if it is cooking too long (https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/diet/cooked-meats-fact-sheet).
2. Dangerous bacteria - all animals (as source of food), have potentially bacteria that can infect human. It just how we manage in farm, in processing & cooking.
3. Fat - too many fat in general is not good for health. Not only from chicken fat.
4. Hormone - There are not hormones used for raising broiler (chicken), the cost will be high and not fit in economic calculation for raising chicken as source of income.
5. Antibiotic - Currently massive campaign of AMR (anti microbial resistance) issue, enforce in any countries to start to prohibit farmer using antibiotic as growth promotor. Withdrawal time after using antibiotic also put on drug label, to ensure antibiotic excreted from body of chicken. Prevention diseases by vaccination and improving biosecurity & management of farming also should be implemented to avoid diseases, so no need to give antibiotics at all.
If a meat is improperly cooked then it may become carcinogenic and could promote harmful bacterial growth. These bad qualities cannot be attributed to meat itself but to bad or improper cooking.
The fat content of poultry meat are very low as compare to meat of other animals.
Responsible use of antibiotics are quite a norm in poultry production process due to high cost of unnecessary medications and other factors.
Broiler meat with high nutritional value, and eating it regularly will help you stay healthy. Protein supply. Broiler meat has a very high protein content, which plays a very important role in sustaining our muscles.
Dear ABDUL Aziz, I fully agree with Janine Berdos and Jinan Abdulrahman. Chickens raised according to the strict rules of organic farming are certainly a healthy and wholesome food. Unfortunately, the prices of these chickens (about 12 € / kg when buying via the internet) are quite high as the cost of breeding is very high. An alternative that is already possible today is artificial chicken meat made in the laboratory from animal cells and already marketed in different parts of the world. The prices of this meat are still very high and practically equal to those of the chickens raised according to organic farming.
Dear Abdul Aziz I'm Ahmed Mahmoud, A field of research in plant materials and their extracts and probiotics that work to nourish the immune system in poultry to reduce the use of antibiotics manufactured to maintain the health of the human consumer.
When a person is fed poultry treated with hormonal or antibiotics, for example, it affects him negatively, either when feeding on natural substances and using natural antibiotics such as extracts, powders of garlic, onions, and thyme this works to increase the quality of meat and the vitality of the birds and Maintains consumer health.
