Hi neuroscience people, I have a question for you.

What is the consensus on this statement? "In any given moment, one's physical brain state determines one's behavior." I believe that is called the physicalist position, yes? Meaning that whether it's genetics, or the presence/absence of various neurotransmitters, or the strengthening/weakening of neural connections due to life experience, the literal, physical state of my brain in a particular moment dictates how I will respond in a given situation. Is this a controversial position in the field, or is it widely accepted?
