For testing the effectiveness of essential oils, I've inoculated Botrytis cinerea on tomato plants. In the references methods for inoculum was used conidia of known concentration. Using these methods I've not had a good infestation.

I've been using pieces of mycelium with a known diameter and also pieces of mycelium taken from infected leaves, with good results, but the inoculum is difficult to quantify. Has anyone ever used a similar method? Does anyone know other method?
