So we decided to give them a try, but still waiting for the sequencing results. We sent out the samples mid-December and the data is supposed to be released any day now. Mind you - our protocol is a non-standard one (i.e. short amplicon sequencing similar to 16S libraries but we don't incorporate the Illumina adapters ourselves and the company has to finish them off essentially), so they technically have to be treated as individual whole genome libraries, which a lot of companies are reluctant to do and we have had bad experience with some before where the wrong protocol was applied. Therefore we spent a considerable amount of time to discuss it with them via Zoom and emails to ensure that everything was clear, they were very helpful in that respect. If the sales rep couldn't answer any technical questions she'd organise a meeting with the technical rep. The other thing - their quote was nearly 2x cheap than the other company we talked to. So ultimately, the data will be the decider, but so far so good! I hope this helps and don't hesitate to reach out if you had any more questions :)
Milica Zlatkovic Elina I Nagaeva Hi, yes, a PhD student in our lab has been sequencing her libraries (NovaSeq) with them - 3 times now and we never found better prices. They even customised a few things for our metabarcoding sort amplicon libraries and the next two runs went very smoothly. Standard turnaround times for QC and sequencing - perhaps even on faster side, very quick communication. I would just suggest to also have their technical assistant in the conversation alongside the sales rep.
