Biogas sampling - Continuous pressure measurement and release but intermittent composition sampling?

Hello,

I have a question regarding biogas production measurement.

Is it possible to have reliable data of gas production if the system:

1) Continuously measures volume and pressure.

2) The pressure is released in intermittently when the headspace pressure becomes high

3) Composition measurement at a wider intervals.

For example, pressure is released every hour but gas composition is only measured once a day.
