Rice husk is one major by-product of rice milling and due to its high resistance to most microbial degradation (owing to high cellulose content), it is a major environmental embarrassment in my area. There are so many rice mills in my area and they are busy, turning out massive hips of rice husks daily. People burn it away and i do know that it is not a total waste and can be converted to a more useful product like ethanol and may as well find useful application in other industrial sectors. I need ideas and collaboration to work on it.
