I am trying to upload a latex file to a Springer journal and have used biblatex+ biber. When uploading my file, the references are not created or cited in the work. I have tried the following:
1- uploading latex + .bib file ==> did not work
2-used \begin{filecontents*}{general.bib} .....\end{filecontents} and copied all the references in between, compiled fine for me but for springer compiler, it did not work well
3-tried using bbl file, by including in in \begin{filecontents*}{general.bib} \end{filecontents} , complied fine for me but not for springer compiler
4-tried to convert my file to word, but too much work to make look fine, and it was easier to start the work using word
any similar experience?
Compilers embedded in magazine websites usually do not work that fine, when compared to popular pc Latex environments.
The best idea is to find a suggested pre-packaged template (all Springer magazines should have one) your specific contents can be entered into.
This should fix the problem.
Thanks Alexandra, I am having a problem with referencing. They are asking for name(year) citation in text and name(year) title, journal referencing. Unfortunately, none of their templates satisfy these requirements!

1) Have you tried inserting the bib text into the main latex file? \begin{bibliography} 1. ref. 2. ref. 3. ref \end{bibliography}
This method is dependency free to a greater extent.
2) Or, create the .bbl file separately and then insert into your main latex files as, \input{MyRef.bbl}.

Thanks for your recommendations. I have finally solve the problem, which required 3 hours of work.
I think that the problem is related to using Biber to compile the bibliography. I need to Biber because it gave me good control about how list references and cite them in my article. Neither Springer, nor Elsevier templates did provide me with what I want. However, thanks to google, someone has developed a template that exactly suites my needs and it was compiled by Springer submission software.

@Samech do you have a link to the template you found on google? Having this exact same problem.
Springer really needs to update their styles for Biblatex with a biber backend (which is being actively developed and maintained). They seem to assume you use natbib with a BibTex backend (which I feel is becoming less common, and it's not being maintained), otherwise you must manually enter the references using \begin{bibliography}, which I am absolutely dreading...
EDIT: Turns out Biblatex is so flexible that I just created my own style to match with the Springer in-house reference style.
You could also just use natbib with a BibTex backed as suggested above, change your Biblatex syntax of parencite and textcite, etc. to the natbib equivalent of citep and citet. This requires you to compile your bib file with BibTex instead.
Another tip for submitting to springer is you need to inline your references by copying the contents of the generated .bbl file and pasting it at the end of your main manuscript file. Submitting a separate bib file just never worked for me...

I had the sam. e problem with a wiley submission. The only thing that worked in my case is the solution suggested by Vikash Pandey . I had some reservations in the beginning as it would take long to re-format all the bibliography items in the proposed style, but it turns out that latex does the work for you when creating the .bbl file in the normal way. Then you can simply include it as an impute while commenting out the bibliography command:
1st step
\bibliography{library_new}{}
\bibliographystyle{agsm}
%\input{main_document.bbl}
2nd step
%\bibliography{library_new}{}
%\bibliographystyle{agsm}
\input{main_document.bbl}
Lastly, don't forget to upload the .bbl file with your submission to the journal as well.
