Wounds on the anterior retinaculum pose a challenge in coverage. Dorsalis pedis flap and reverse sural flap could be used. The challenge of raising reverse sural flap to cover wounds on the anterior retinaculum does not only pose a challenge but is associated with poor flap survival rate.
