I am starting to use SPADE and iNEXT R packages. I think I have finally got my head around most of what I need so far but...
Chao et al, (2009) present an Excel calculator to calculate how many additional individuals would be needed to sample 100% of asymptotic species richness of a sample/region (G=1 in the paper, link below):

My question is, can this be achieved in iNEXT, or even EstimateS, and if so, how?
I don't really want to do 95% of the work in iNEXT or EstimateS, but then have to calculate one number separately!

I have only used the simple estimator of number of species (Chao 1984, 1987). This paper you mention gives a whole new possibility and I am eager to use it. So any news you get I am interested in too.

We estimated total ant species richness in the San Gabriel Mountains using the Chao2 estimator (Gotelli and Colwell, 2001), Sest = Sobs + (Q1)2 / 2Q2 where Sest is the estimated number of species in the community, Sobs equals the observed number of species, Q1 is the number of species represented by a single individual, and Q2 is the number of species represented by two individuals. In this expression the rarest species in the sample are used to estimate the number of un-sampled rare species that occur in the sampled area.
