Best eeg signals for cognitive workload?

I'd like to ask, given a small number of electrodes (let's say 3/4) wich is the best eeg index to point out signs of fatigue and cognitive workload? I tought about ASSR or some power band ratios (such as beta/alfa or alfa/theta bands), but i'm stucked at the moment. Any advice?
