I'm working on the development of an IR technique for the quantification of quartz in complex dust samples. While the path for the validation of the method using standards is clear, I wonder if anybody would suggest a good book/articles for strategies to validate the method for complex actual samples. It is pretty difficult to answer about a book which one is superior for method validation! You can try the below list, I have read them and found very useful.

Check the encyclopedia of validation by Krull, the book by Bliesner and that of Riley
