I read rings on birds in a landfill for two winters. In this way, by reading codes on the rings, I got their ages from their life histories. For each species, I'd like to compare the mean age between the first winter and the second winter, in order to search for a significant difference. Which test should I use? And, should I include the rings that I read in both winters?

This a graph example. The p values and data are invented. X axis has got species names, Y the ages, whereas colours stand for the two winters in which I collected data.

Thanks in advance!
