we all now about the effect of associativity vs. non-associativity on behavior of materials in the simplest cases, like uniaxial compression test i.e. huge difference in dilation at plastic regime of pressure sensitive materials. The question is what should we expect to observe in the case of more complicated load histories like pure shear vs. simple shear? in other words, what is the effect of associaticity vs non-associativity of material flow rule in response of material under 1-pure shear. 2-simple shear?
