I am using the SPAD 502 Plus Chlorophyll Meter to measure the total chlorophyll content. And I am also analyzin my samples using spectrophotometry. What I am actually aiming to do with is to check the physiological mechanism of the biofertilizer i am using on the rice plant.
Hyperspectral instrument is one of the other way to measure plant pigments. it is help to measure plant different stress.
i don't have an access to LiCor but I will measure the pigments.. so i'll just look for a formula that will determine the photosynthetic activity instead?

I do not know what you are alredy measuring in the study, but measures of biomass, tillering, leaf area index etc., and of the actual concentrations and uptake of nitrogen and other nutrients will give you a lot of information in combination with the measurements you mention
