As a young researcher in training, how can one make the best use of the relationship between himself and his supervisor(s)? How can this synergy between students and academic supervisors be strengthened to bring out the best in the students in terms of their final research output and also becoming a better researcher upon graduation?

Humility is the key.However,some supervisors are not leaders and hard nut to crack.So,in such case you have to painstakingly train yourself
The student - supervisor relationship is important for the
success of student's project .The student must to be an active member of a supervisor's team.Firstly, the student must acquire the trust and satisfaction of the supervisor. The student must comply fully with the supervisor's instructions. He/she must to take advantage of all the time in completing the research. The student should benefit from the supervisor's experience in both research and life. The successful student - supervisor relationship plays a significant role in student's future pathway.

Student-supervisor can really be strengthened by being committed to the research work and remain humble to take to all corrections given by the supervisor(s).
Generally a researcher takes the services of his supervisor where by his work & guidance from his supervisor receive encouragement ,inspiration , which are the working guideline for his research where he desires to carry out his programming plan.Supervisor after accepting the student as a researcher he remain aware of his responsibility & his duties for helping his researcher .
When supervisor has established the said relation with his responsibility moral codes & ethics , in this line a researcher find his supervisor in his mind & feelings as a friend,philosopher ,& Guide

Well, the basic answer is to get to know your supervisor(s) on a personal level. Who he or she is as a person. This will give you insight as to whether this person can be your mentor. Is she or he organized or disorganized? Chances are, this will impact your supervision relationship depending on whether s/he will be prepared for meetings with you...etc. Deal with all or any conflicts as soon as they appear, including between supervisors. Its sad to say, but you will have to manage people sometimes too.
