It would be interesting to know whether your focus is psychological issues and adaptations to women`s health in the age group of 40+ and whether you are adressing changes and risk factors in somatic health as well.
I am studying the impact of myocardial infarction on Women at different stages of the menopause. Particularly, we are looking the impact of stress on cognitive measures !
Thank you so much for sharing the topic of your ongoing project which I find to be very interesting. I think it is very important and worthwhile to study the impact of psychological stress, whether it is work related or so called life stress, on the risk of myocardial health. In our research we find that a considerable number of perimenopausal women are experiencing stress from their work as well as their role as caregivers to elderly parents.
We are particularly interested in finding characteristics of females who consider themselves as healthy. Our study followes a biopsychosocial approach of health in pre, peri and postmenopausal women. We are therefore not addressing risk factors in psychological or somatic health.
