I disagree with that politics, which attitude toward children. Because of children who are pushed, grabbed, shoved, slapped or hit are more likely to be diagnosed with mental illness. Just one more reason to embrace alternative forms of discipline. So

There is no reason to hit anyone. My parents pulled my ear hard (the worst punishment I got) and that was enough to train me. Most of the time one can train kids verbally (with words).

In the US, I think the vast majority of teachers who hit a student would be fired at best and probably also arrested for child abuse and sued by the parents. A teacher hitting a student is objectively morally wrong.

I do not agree with these old and useless traditions but destroy the behavior of children. I highly reject hitting students whatever the reason is because this leaves a bad experience in the mind of the students and makes them afraid of going to school. A good teacher builds confidence and passion for learning in his students by every means except violence.

It is totally unacceptable. Even parents are advised ro use words instead of beating. And teachers should know much better than beating as solution to "bad" kids.

There was a time on that punishment to the child for not concentrating on his study .Parent should be beat the child ,this is not a habit practice with subsequent parents realized & they change their habit of punishing child by creating & attitude of Love & sympathy while offering training to the child for his study . With the result parent observe a change the attitude & progress for the child .

In his study parents desire that teacher should also follow the same practice for their children . In above line punishment to the student is not considered favorably both for the teacher in the class & parents both within & outside the playground for the children .
