These 3 hornworms were found on sweet potato ( Ipomoea batatas ), but I have observed that they also feed on water spinach ( Ipomoea aquatica ). I did rear the caterpillars until the adults hatched. The caterpillars and moths were different in colors, but it seems that the moths have the same pattern and also pink spots on the abdomen. Are all of these moths sweet potato hornworm ( Agrius cingulata )?
