I want to know if i can add any kind of bio fertilizer safely to Jujube seedlings including Azospirillum spp. and pseudomonas spp. or I must add specific types for this purpose?
Yes, every plant manufactures different structural, functional and metabolic microbial diversity within its rhizosphere. Therefore , rhizosphere properties of one crop is distinctive to rhizosphere properties of other crop..
I am sure it does not matter really, because most claims of what biofertilizers do or not do are more or less arbitrary and just for the sound of itself. Apply standard know how on plant nutrition, says analyse what the plant needs and serve it by means of a plant available source!
As I know, Azospirillum is free living N2 fixer and Pseudomonas is a biocontrol agent. These are not specialized to a perticular host. So, they have broad scope for application as biofertilizer...
First of all need to check and isolate the indigenous pgpr and pgpf associated with that particular plant species and then go for inoculation and further mass multiplication. Introducing a novel microbe in the rhizosphere might inadvertently affect plant growth and development.
There should not be a particular bio fertilizer for particular crop as most the properties are common amongest of all the biological fertilizers. Every crop needs nutrient for their survival as well for their normal growth and development which may be achieved with recommended doses of biological product. I am in full agree with Dr. Ewald Schnug. You can also download one of my publication attached herewith which is based on elaborated findings about the role of beneficial microbes in agriculture.
I agreed with Anoop Kumar Srivastava about the different rhizosphere properties of crop. I'll add, that all crop need macro nutrition element like N, P and K, so that if beneficial microbes capable to growth in the crop rhizosphere, can be useful for the crop.
Thanks Toan , we need to exploit the microbial biodiversity existing within the rhizosphere of specific crop , on the simple premise ..every plant manufactures microbes within its rhizosphere according to its metabolism..and , that how , concept like plant-microbiome consortium came into being...
