Sabkha is an Arabic word for salt flat area. It represents an equilibrium state controlled by geomorphic surface whose level is dictated by the local water table. Sabkhas are occasionally covered by ephemeral shallow water, but for most of the time they are subaerial mud flats.

Definitely, there are some similar words in my native Ukrainian language and English. Some words are totally equal, another have similar parts or root. Also, you can find similar words by sounding but different in content.

Yes, some words are spelled precisely the same, and mean totally different things!

First, many languages (yes even French!!) have adopted English words or phrases. Like, "road trip," or "week-end," or "jet set." Many, many examples like that.

But there are other more strange examples. "Dove" in English is a bird. In Italian, it means "where." Same spelling. "Come" in English is a verb, as in "come here." In Italian, it means "how." Same spelling. And other similar and equally confusing examples, such as "adage," in English, vs "adagio" in Italian. An "adage" in English is a saying, or a proverb. In Italian, "adagio" means "slowly." Go figure.

And then, of course, there are any number of English words that have Latin or other romance language roots, or for that matter, German roots, so the spelling and pronunciation would be similar to those other languages. But that's far less odd.
