The English language is no longer just a necessity in academia but also in daily life. A better understanding of English opens numerous local and international opportunities. As we all know, English is a universal language. In fact, many job requirements include proficiency in English. This sparked my curiosity to study English more deeply, particularly in the context of southern Thailand. This study will enhance my knowledge and understanding of how English has evolved and its usefulness to Thai people.

I am familiar with the English language acquisition, so I recommend you to do research on the "Barriers to English Language Acquisition in Southern Thailand," because this study could explore various factors that affect English learning, including educational infrastructure, teacher training, socio-economic factors, and cultural attitudes towards the English language. Additionally, the research could compare the proficiency levels and educational methods between rural and urban areas within southern Thailand to provide a comprehensive overview of the regional disparities in English education.
My suggestion would be that you could carry out research into young learners' attitudes to learning English versus learning other foreign languages, such as Chinese. Survey students aged, say, 11-18 and find out which languages they are motivated to learn, and why. There could be implications for language policies in Thailand.
There are many areas of language research, but you should choose the one that is 1) the students' need in your area/country 2) your level of interest in that particular area ... which language skills you want to explore, at which level and why... these few points will help you decide ...
