I am looking to explore this idea as a research project using Hissing Cockroaches as a model. I am looking for more information on different venoms that may have different than usual effects on arthropods.
Some snakes venoms have some porteins with acivities like trombin-like, desintegrins and proteases. These fractions don't have a specific acitivty in circulatory systems, but they have effects in PAF, coagulation, formation of coat etc.
snakes venom have specific targets on various biological functions including blood, this may alter the double or pulmonary circulation of blood to yield hemolysis, and the destruction of erythrocytes, or induce blood coagulation. Details can be shown when you determine the TOXIC EFFECT of venom LD50 in rattle snakes and few of the spitting cobras...
I'm not a real expert ,but maybe Russel's viper venom can work.
P.S.:I repeat ,I'm not sure about it because I'm just a student. It's better that someone else confirms/rejects my suggestion.
