I study contextual factors (including cultural factors) that determine the socio-emotional development of children aged 10 and 15 years. This study is part of the SSES international study - The Study on Social and Emotional Skills. Are there any similar studies on russian samples?
Undoubtedly the topic you want to study is very interesting and valid. For now I have two suggestions. You could refer in your study to the ecological theory of Urie Bronfenbrenner (who was born in Russia), who studies the influence of the environment on the development of the person (and especially of the child). Perhaps it would be better to use the name pre-adolescents or early adolescence by age you have indicated and not children. Good job. Zbigniew
I wonder how such topics are born? If it was given by the supervisor, then at least he should indicate several works on this subject.
