I'm interested in sensory deficits in schizophrenia models, and I was wondering whether there are any studies using extracellular or intracellular recordings to investigate cellular responses in sensory cortices. I only know of one study showing that postnatal deletion of NR1 in cortical and hippocampal interneurons results in increased baseline spiking and decreased neural synchrony in S1 pyramidal neurons in actively exploring mice (Belfort et al., 2010). If anyone has some more literature suggestions, I would very much appreciate your feedback.
