I'm looking for a model (general or specific) that describe the chemical weathering process, primarily of silicate minerals, similar to what visual MINTEQ and CHEAQS does for readily soluble compound.

As a side question, I'm also looking for a detailed detailed description of the mechanism of chemical weathering, i.e. rate determining factors etc.

Any pointer to good sources are appreciated!
