There is no macroalgae in River Nile, but in some case the filamentous and branched microalgae (green algae and blue green algae) aggregated and make cluster.

But I wonder if I can find them in my home country (Sudan), Rivers in Sudan are very rich in biodiversity and studies on these rivers are scantly.

Actually, as a microbiologist I would like to study about the antimicrobial activities of such algae.

which algae you men, the microalgae or macroalgae? as I said previously no macroalgae in River Nile. But about the microalgae you can study the antimicrobial activities of microalgae when isolate it in single strain.
