I need to identify the +1 state for Transition metals (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn) by simple methods or using UV-Visible Instrumental methods.
Hi Raj Kumar, you can perform cyclic voltammetry for your samples and identify whether the metal exists in +1 oxidation state. You can further relate the oxidation or reduction potential obtained from these studies with the electrochemical series.
XPS will help you
Of course, XPS is best for ever. Is there any another methods by simple instrumentation like CV, spectroscopy methods
