Are there any after death appearances anyone would consider credible? If yes, what can we learn from them about who we are and what we are as human persons? might there be a link between post-death appearances of human beings and there pre-death quality of life and morality?

Dear Dr Ewaldst-Kvist, thanks you for the materials you suggested. I have gone through the available ones and requested the full texts for the others. The ones I read treated items not quite what I was looking for. My institutional religious upbringing (with a good dose of Western educational orientation) had disposed me to be skeptical about all purported appearances of dead people. Along the way I have learnt not to hastily dismiss what I do not understand; but to be open to receive more information. The BBC used to feature what it called "Phenomena of the Paranormal" essentially ghost stories. The gospels tell stories of the appearances of Jesus after he was killed. The week before I asked that question, I had heard stories of post-death appearances of people connected to other people I knew and it left me speechless. So I really wanted to know if any research gate colleagues knew of any such instances of a dead person appearing or giving a message to the living, whether in a benevolent mode or in a malicious mood; and if any have been documented. There are ways these stories challenge certain established beliefs.
Me personally, I confess the resurrection of Jesus Christ and a life after death. Though, when we experience big losses like loosing our spouse, we sometimes are likely to have his/her image in dreams or in streets or shop. We may gaze at someone in the shop and our first thought is that he/she is alive. There are people who experience supernatural connections with dead persons but if you ask the Finnish fundamentalists these visions come from the devil.
