Dear Colleagues,
I want to write and ask about a critical issue, before few months I get an acceptance letter from the scientific committee of an international conference which was held in Europe, so I need to apply for visa, but because of the sophisticated arrangements plus huge requirements and routines I did not get visa!!
Are there a chance to exclude academic researcher from applying for visa?
I hope to get support from you colleagues at least to overcome this problem.

Researchers, like any other people, have to apply for visas to travel to most other countries e.g., to present papers. If the countries concerned have mutual cooperation, then there is usually no difficulty in justifying and obtaining a visa if you make arrangements timeously. However, being a researcher does not give you a carte blanche to visit any country that is blockading your country.

The visa bureaucracy has its process. Ordinary people like you and me are at the bottom of the pile. At least when our applications are examined, we get handled rapidly.
Including an invitation from the conference committee in our visa applications speeds things up.
In my own opinion, this is a very interesting topic which deserves contribution. @ian Kennedy, you have said it all. Scientific committee should ensure they provide researchers whose papers are accepted for presentation at conference an invitation to speed up the visa process. However, I have a feeling, even when this is done, it might not be enough in the case of some countries, hence the need for more contributions and suggestions. I will suggest the scientific committee should establish a strong reason for the researcher to be granted visa and communicate such to their local embassy, from where further communication with consulate in the intended researcher home country could be achieved.

Thank you so much for your rich comment. One day, I submitted an abstract to an international conference in Bahrain, and at that time I get an electronic visa!! directly from the scientific committee, it was very impressive support, by the way at that data I did not went anywhere and received my e-visa via my email. I hope to repeat such excellent academic behavior by another committees.
