Dear colleagues,
some journals indexed in Web of Science adopt practices of predator journals. Is this normal? In this case, be indexed in Web of Science will not be a guarantee of a rigorous peer-review!!!

While I am sure that there are some in the listings, my observations of WOS and the Emerging Sources of WOS seem to be pretty good at having currently reputable publishers and publications. Some journals are hard to define, BMC has many journals and I have seen some awful articles that either were not peer reviewed or were reviewed by individuals who were not experts in the field (and the English writing was so bad that the articles are sometimes not understandable).
