Hey we are designing an ecological momentary assessment, where the questions are not triggered by time/activity, but the geolocation of the participant. We would like to predefine a few areas, and trigger questions once users enter a new area. I've only heard that MetricWire is promising and I am trying to schedule a meeting with them. I know there are a lot of new EMA apps out there and wonder if anyone knows another app that can serve our purpose? Thank you very much!

Experience Sampling Method (ESM) is a research procedure where participants are asked to provide self-reports of their emotions, symptoms or environment, at different moments during their daily lives. The key to experience sampling is gathering data at the moment and situational, in other words: right then and there.
Sampling techniques in geography include random sampling, which involves the use of a grid, and systematic sampling, which is based on exact numbers and patterns. Stratified sampling should not be used unless the geographic area contains groups or clusters that are immensely different from one another.
